Overview

As an experienced Cost Engineering Professional, you will establish baseline cost and schedule, monitor performance, and manage risk, change, and value delivery for complex projects. You’ll lead cost governance, collaborate with remote cost managers, and steer contractors to align with cash flow targets. You will prepare client-facing reports and drive change management with a data-driven mindset. This role sits at the heart of project controls, enabling delivery on time, cost, and quality objectives within a growing practice.

Responsibilities

  • Establish baseline cost and schedule with processes, templates, and tools
  • Identify deviations using lead/lag indicators and recommend remedial actions
  • Lead evaluation of time, cost, and quality targets with governance controls
  • Cooperate with remote cost managers to maintain an agreed cost baseline
  • Guide the general contractor to align with the schedule and cash flow
  • Act as client-facing point of contact for delivery and commercial issues with reports on time/cost/quality
  • Control costs using conceptual estimating, funding gates, and contingency/procurement principles
  • Create/analyze cost reports and executive dashboards
  • Lead change management processes and workflows
  • Coordinate planning sessions to compile master project/programme schedule and baselines
  • Communicate vendor schedule requirements and prioritization of orders
  • Manage risk evaluations and integrate risks into Monte Carlo cost/schedule outputs
  • Monitor project changes and drive approvals within change management
  • Hold vendors accountable for schedule updates and master schedule integrity

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in project controls coordination across project lifecycle
  • Experience in life sciences or data centre sectors preferred
  • Ability to determine corrective actions from data and make recommendations
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6
