Overview
As Lead Technical Program Manager, Data at Wayve, you will build and steer the TPM function for data platforms, pipelines, and data enrichment that power the AI Driver. You’ll partner with Data leadership to plan and execute the data roadmap, and lead flagship programs while mentoring a small TPM team. Your impact is measured by data quality, throughput, cost, and how reliably data lands for models. This role blends leadership with hands-on program management in a fast-moving, data-driven environment.

Responsibilities
- Build, coach, and grow a small TPM team
- Own data delivery by planning, prioritising, and executing the data roadmap
- Maintain partnership with Engineering leadership to land big outcomes
- Drive flagship programs: data platform, pipelines, enrichment, labelling/annotation, dataset management and quality
- Establish scalable practices: planning cadences, governance, KPIs, dashboards, escalations
- Align cross-functionally with data, ML, engineering, and external data/annotation suppliers
- Connect delivery to outcomes and represent the data org in company reviews
Key requirements
- 8+ years in data with hands-on TPM experience across data platform, pipelines, and enrichment/curation
- People leadership: build, coach, and grow high-performing teams
- Credible with engineers on data platforms and large-scale data infrastructure
- Experience with distributed data platforms at petabyte scale
- Experience with data ingestion pipelines and DAGs
- Understanding of Machine Learning workflows, GPUs, and training/inference of large models (500M–20B params)
- Proficiency with Databricks, Flyte, Ray, Kubernetes, Azure, Docker, Python
- Proficiency with AI agents (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Codex)
