Senior EIA Consultant

Overview

As a Senior EIA Consultant in London, you lead and contribute to EIAs on urban regeneration projects within SLR’s Built Environment focus. You will engage with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver Environmental Statements, scoping and reviews, while growing client relationships and representing SLR at industry events. The role sits in the EIA – South team, offering collaboration with a national planning group and opportunities to work across sectors such as renewables. You’ll develop proposals, support chartership, and help shape sustainability outcomes for high-impact developments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing fee proposals
• Author environmental screening and scoping requests, ES, ES Addenda and ES Reviews
• Act as day-to-day contact with clients and technical teams
• Maintain strong relationships with Built Environment clients
• Represent SLR at industry conferences and events

Key requirements

• Experience managing and coordinating EIAs for complex urban development projects
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience mentoring and developing junior colleagues
• Ability to cross-sell environmental and planning services to clients
• Likely practitioner member of ISEP (or equivalent) and working towards full membership/chartership
