Senior Site Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead a 75-unit timber frame residential development in Cardiff, overseeing site setup through completion. You will drive programme, quality, safety and customer satisfaction, coordinating subcontractors, labour and suppliers to deliver on time and within budget. You’ll work closely with technical, commercial and customer care teams to ensure high standards of build quality and compliance. This is a hands-on leadership position at a reputable regional developer, offering career progression and a meaningful impact on housing quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage the build programme to hit milestones and completion dates
• Lead all site operations ensuring safe, efficient work
• Deliver high-quality build outcomes across all construction phases
• Manage subcontractors and ensure productivity and workmanship meet standards
• Monitor costs and minimise waste while maintaining programme targets
• Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure homes meet high standards
• Maintain health & safety standards and compliance with legislation
• Collaborate with Technical, Commercial and Customer Care teams throughout the build process
• Lead, motivate and develop the on-site team

Key requirements

• Proven experience as Senior Site Manager or experienced Site Manager in housebuilding
• Strong experience delivering timber frame residential developments
• Track record of managing housing developments of similar size and complexity
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Proactive problem solver with ability to manage multiple priorities
• Commitment to delivering high-quality homes and exceptional customer satisfaction
• SMSTS
• CSCS Black or Gold Card
• First Aid at Work
• Full UK Driving Licence
