Overview
In this role you drive timely delivery of lifecycle handover points for nuclear projects, ensuring issues are resolved and approvals secured. You will coordinate across design, manufacture, delivery and commissioning with stakeholders to keep plans on track. You’ll manage technical queries, changes and risk, supporting safety cases and interfaces with suppliers. Responsibilities
- Manage lifecycle handovers and expediting stakeholder reviews
- Resolve engineering issues (EQ, EW, Open Points, design change requests) in line with contract and RACI
- Engage approval bodies when Safety Case is affected
- Coordinate information exchange across contributors and ensure plan delivery
- Prioritise queries and issues to optimise resolution with manufacturing/installation needs
- Deliver engineering deliverables with key stakeholders and provide engineering support throughout activities
- Ensure Technical Acceptance and surveillance deliverables are met
- Support management of engineering risks and opportunities in ARM (where applicable)
- Maintain design interfaces and supplier feedback control
- Drive technical resolution of manufacturing NCRs in support of Quality Management
- Follow up equipment qualification programs for related issues
- Travel to Assystem offices and client sites as required
- Maintain awareness of CDM Regulations and project management practices (APM/Prince2)
- Support major UK and international Nuclear Clients on work packages
Key requirements
- Proven experience delivering technical leadership in technically complex, regulated environments (nuclear preferred)
- Awareness of integrated management systems and applicable policies, procedures, standards
- Significant expertise in relevant technical discipline
- Experience engaging stakeholders and resolving issues
- Ability to build and maintain relationships across project teams
- Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation, influencing and facilitation skills
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Knowledge of PWR/EPR design and construction is advantageous
- Knowledge of EU directives, British Standards, and company standards
- Degree and chartered status in engineering, construction or related field
- Good understanding of CDM Regulations
- Project Management exposure (APM/Prince2)
