Responsibilities
- Lead SDR firmware and applications development, creating reusable interfaces and capabilities for multiple mission formats
- Drive platform and API development including signal processing pipelines, embedded Linux drivers, and application management for client radios
- Plan and execute development, test, and release activities with test benches, lab equipment, CI builds, and rapid testing for RF performance
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, lead design reviews, and evolve technical standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with system engineers, cyber security specialists, technologists and innovators
- Engage with other teams and stakeholders daily to ensure client and partner success
- Leverage AI/ML, cloud, and edge processing to improve performance and outcomes
- Contribute as a technical expert in RF communications engineering across multiple domains
Key requirements
- Significant experience with RF communications and SDR technologies and architectures, low-level firmware, and systems integration
- EW or SIGINT capability development experience including RF waveform and protocol vulnerability analysis
- Experience with commercial and military communications stacks and modem development (e.g., IEEE 802.x, COFDM, Satcoms, Link 16)
- Proficiency in OpenCPI, GnuRadio, Python, C/C++, VHDL and other SDR development tools
