Overview

In this role you help shape the sustainment of advanced radar electronics. You work with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, maintainability and supportability across the lifecycle—from concept to in-service support. You’ll lead analyses to understand failure mechanisms and influence design decisions for robustness. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge radar programmes and a mission-driven culture focused on lifecycle performance and support.

Responsibilities

  • Influence design of advanced radar products alongside electronics, systems and software engineers
  • Analyze circuits, assemblies and subsystems to identify failure mechanisms and improve resilience
  • Perform reliability, maintainability and supportability assessments across the lifecycle
  • Develop FMEA/FMECA and failure analysis at component, board and equipment level
  • Support diagnostics, fault-finding and testability strategies for complex electronic systems
  • Use RAMT techniques to shape engineering decisions and optimise through-life support
  • Contribute to root cause investigations and continuous improvement across development and in-service products

Key requirements

  • Electronics engineering, hardware design, electronic test, systems engineering or product support engineering experience
  • Understanding of electronic components, circuit design principles and schematic interpretation
  • Failure investigation, root cause analysis or reliability engineering in electronic products
  • Experience with reliability, maintainability, supportability, RAMT or design assurance activities
  • Experience with complex, high-integrity or safety-critical systems
  • Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or related discipline
  • Analytical problem-solving
