IT Technology Planning & Governance Manager with Enterprise Architect Solutions

Overview

In this role you will shape and maintain the technology alignment roadmap for Corporate functions, collaborating with senior stakeholders and external partners to drive innovation. You will oversee the core Applications Portfolio lifecycle across Finance, HR, Legal, and more, ensuring changes are high quality, secure, and fit-for-purpose. The position centers on aligning IT roadmaps with business needs, evaluating cloud opportunities, and delivering strong governance and risk controls. This is a chance to influence several corporate systems while leading a team of architects and analysts. Responsibilities

• Drive stakeholder engagement and align application roadmaps with annual technology plans
• Map business capabilities to solution architectures across Corporate functions
• Develop and own the technology roadmap to support the wider company
• Assess impacts of moving workloads to cloud and address associated risks
• Create and present business cases, secure funding and prioritisation
• Coordinate budget planning and report on the state of the Application portfolio
• Provide technical leadership for corporate initiatives and cross-functional delivery
• Solve cross-cutting problems using process and technology (e.g., IAM)
• Document IT standards and ensure regulatory compliance
• Lead innovation, governance forums, and information security/data protection governance
• Manage architects, contractors, and third parties in future
• Support corporate functions to optimise use of applications
• Vendor management and RFI/RFP activities
• Oversee day-to-day management of the Application Portfolio and risk
• Provide guidance on major system changes and upgrades
• Develop and manage solution architects, business analysts and contract resources

Key requirements

• 10+ years of IT technology and governance planning experience
• Hands-on experience in practical solution planning and technical architecture (SaaS, IAM)
• Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their business value
• Experience with architecture business capability mapping, data governance, roadmaps, and delivery lifecycle
• Familiarity with ITIL service management and corporate applications
• Ability to manage conflicts and build cross-stakeholder relationships
• Proven leadership, objective setting, and delivery of services
• Contract management, supplier management, procurement, and vendor selection experience
• Experience with systems such as Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, SAP SuccessFactors, and related platforms
• Experience in business continuity planning and IT DRP
• Experience in creating architectures, standards, and policies
