Overview
As a key member of Safran Landing Systems’ Supplier Quality team, you drive quality assurance across the external supply chain and safeguard product integrity. You will assess supplier capabilities, lead audits, and support smooth parts transfers to strengthen production performance. You will promote Lean practices and core quality methods to lift supplier competency and overall supply chain robustness. This role offers global collaboration, exposure to NPI, and the chance to shape quality across a critical aerospace segment.

Responsibilities
- Drive supplier QA across the external supply chain to meet Safran’s requirements
- Assess supplier capabilities and conduct audits to validate processes, products and systems
- Support introduction and transfer of parts across the supply base with internal teams
- Lead supplier quality improvement initiatives and promote Lean principles
- Develop supplier competencies in APQP, PFMEA, and PPAP in line with DVI processes
- Influence supplier selection, approval, and ongoing performance via audit outcomes and risk assessments
- Maintain approved vendor and quality databases with accurate reporting and traceability
- Support cost, quality, and delivery performance through supplier development and validation
- Interface between internal teams and suppliers to drive continuous improvement
- Travel UK/International to conduct audits and support NPI and capability assessments
Key requirements
- Experience in aerospace or similarly regulated manufacturing or quality environments
- Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and NPIs
- Proven experience in supplier quality roles including supplier audits
- AS9100 and AS9102 knowledge
- Hands-on experience with APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, and DVI processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and process flows
- Excellent report writing, data analysis, and stakeholder management
- Confident communicator capable of leading audits and driving corrective actions
- Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Awareness of travel requirements for audits and supplier support
