Overview

In this role you will advance East West Rail’s data capabilities by designing analytics solutions, dashboards, and data models that unlock business value. You will help grow our Microsoft Fabric-based analytics platform and enterprise data lake, enabling AI-powered decision making. You’ll work with cross-functional stakeholders to translate challenges into data products and contribute to governance and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data models, semantic models, datasets, dashboards and analytics products
  • Build and enhance solutions using Microsoft Fabric (lakehouses, warehouses, pipelines, notebooks)
  • Create Power BI dashboards for operational and strategic decisions
  • Contribute to the evolution of the enterprise data lake with governance and AI readiness
  • Support Fabric Data Agents, Foundry solutions and AI-enabled analytics products
  • Translate business challenges into practical data solutions with stakeholders
  • Contribute to data governance, security, documentation and continuous improvement across the analytics estate

Key requirements

  • Microsoft Fabric experience including lakehouses, warehouses, pipelines, notebooks, semantic models
  • Advanced Power BI skills (dashboard development, data modelling, DAX, reporting best practices)
  • Strong data modelling and data engineering (SQL, ingestion, transformation, pipeline development)
  • Experience with modern data platforms and collaboration with data engineering teams
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and ability to translate requirements into insights
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, permissions, lineage and enterprise reporting standards
