Responsibilities

• Lead on bridge maintenance designs: investigations, feasibility, detailed design, tender input, site inspections, and construction supervision
• Inspect structures to DMRB and Highway Structures Inspection Manual
• Provide technical input to project briefs, proposals, and deliverables with Project Managers
• Check, certify (AIPs), and issue designs, documents, and reports
• Manage delivery of technical outputs of project teams
• Demonstrate compliance with Health, Safety and Welfare and CDM responsibilities
• Collaborate with Client team and other disciplines
• Contribute to technical excellence and innovation within team
• Potential line management and mentoring opportunities

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (relevant)
• Full Member of professional body (CEng or IEng) or evidence for future submission
• Experience as Structural Engineer focusing on bridges and highways structures
