Resident Engineer

Overview

As a Resident Engineer on a data centre project near Brent Cross, you will lead on-site delivery of structural works. You will work with contractors, designers and the project team to ensure concrete and steel structures meet the highest standards. You will drive quality assurance, site coordination and problem-solving in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site delivery of structural works for the data centre
• Ensure concrete and steel structures comply with designs and quality standards
• Coordinate with contractors, designers and project team on-site
• Drive quality assurance and problem-solving to address site challenges
• Maintain alignment with project timeline and budget
• Liaise with stakeholders to manage interfaces and approvals
• Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards and Eurocodes

Key requirements

• Approximately eight years of experience in site-based engineering
• Strong background in technical concrete and steel buildings
• Data centre experience highly desirable but not essential
• Proven track record of delivering on-site works to design and quality standards
• Excellent communication and liaison skills with contractors and project teams
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset for on-site challenges
• Familiarity with British Standards, Eurocodes, and construction best practices
