Overview

In this role you will take a lead on transactions within the Corporate Future Energy team, guiding strategic advice, negotiations, and project management for a range of renewable energy deals. You will work with a diverse set of clients across wind, solar, storage, and other clean technologies, handling disposals, acquisitions, JVs and collaboration agreements. You’ll draft complex concepts with support from the broader team, contributing to business development and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities

  • Lead on transactions, including strategy, negotiations, and project management
  • Advising on disposals, acquisitions, JVs, and co-operation agreements
  • Drafting and negotiating complex or market-unique arrangements
  • Collaborating with senior team on business development and profile-raising activities
  • Supervising and developing Paralegals, Trainees and Associates
  • Working with cross-functional teams across Future Energy to deliver seamless advice
  • Supporting with client engagement and maintaining strong relationships
  • Reporting to the team head and contributing to strategic growth

Key requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) with circa 6 PQE+
  • Experience in clean energy M&A deals and complex national/international mid-market transactions
  • Background in corporate, VC and PE transactions within energy sector desired
  • Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
  • Ability to understand client needs and act in firm and client best interests
  • Desire to contribute to a collaborative culture and mentor junior team members
