Senior Manager, Employment Solutions

Overview

You will lead employment solutions advisory work within KPMG’s national team, shaping governance and tax compliance for clients across sectors. In this role you’ll manage diverse projects, develop client relationships, and drive business opportunities while mentoring colleagues. You’ll work in a supportive, inclusive culture that values fresh ideas and practical, commercial problem-solving. This position offers scope to influence payroll, employment status, NMW, CIS and related compliance initiatives at scale.

Responsibilities

• Manage a range of employment solutions advisory projects, from strategic to risk/opportunity reviews
• Oversee employer compliance activities (employment status decisions, PAYE health checks, SAO certification, HMRC Know Your Customer reviews, voluntary disclosures, PAYE Settlement Agreements, payroll advisory, NMW and CIS compliance)
• Take responsibility for winning, managing and delivering high-quality work within deadlines
• Lead engagement management: WIP, billing, risk procedures, and financial implications of decisions
• Review work and coach/develop junior colleagues
• Manage and develop client relationships through business development
• Lead local marketing initiatives

Key requirements

• strong background in Employment Tax
• experience in Practice or HMRC backgrounds
• ideally CTA, ACA, CPA or CA qualified
