Associate Director, Structural Engineer – Water

Overview

In this role you drive technical leadership in water infrastructure, directing the structural design for a diverse range of projects and mentoring a multidisciplinary team. You collaborate with clients and other disciplines to deliver robust, innovative solutions that meet ambitious AMP8 programs. By shaping design approaches and maintaining quality, you help deliver sustainable, tangible improvements for water networks and communities. Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of projects and oversee detailed design activities
• Develop robust, innovative structural solutions for complex challenges
• Mentor and support the professional development of team members
• Foster positive client relationships and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
• Prepare and review drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports
• Ensure deliverables meet quality, compliance, and efficiency standards
• Interface with other project design disciplines and communicate with stakeholders

Key requirements

• Degree or equivalent in civil and structural engineering
• Membership or progressing toward membership of ICE or IStructE
• Experience delivering robust structural solutions in a multidisciplinary environment
• Experience in structural design using relevant standards and specifications
• Strong collaboration and coordination skills with teams, clients and stakeholders
• Passion for delivering technical solutions and leading technical teams
