Overview

As Tax Manager in Deloitte’s Global Information Reporting team in London, you will lead development of new service offerings and oversee high-quality tax advisory across multinational engagements. You will manage delivery of clients’ tax obligations, acting as trusted adviser and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across global delivery centres. You will coach and develop Analysts and Consultants while driving business development and thought leadership in tax transparency and regulatory change. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of new service offerings and solutions in partnership with clients across tax transparency and operational tax agenda
  • Provide and oversee high-quality tax advisory to reduce client tax risk while balancing tax compliance cost and quality
  • Manage delivery of clients’ tax obligations with accountability for outputs’ quality and timeliness
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary delivery teams, including global delivery centres, ensuring workflow, quality reviews and performance
  • Coach, mentor and develop Analysts, Consultants and Senior Consultants
  • Drive business development: contribute to proposals, identify opportunities within client relationships, build external profile
  • Contribute to thought leadership, publications and internal development of the Global Information Reporting proposition
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to support commercial management of engagements, monitor engagement economics, risk and compliance

Key requirements

  • Technical tax expertise with strong knowledge of international tax transparency developments (FATCA, CRS, MDR, DAC7, QI, CESOP, CARF) or withholding tax
  • Proven track record in building and managing client relationships with regulators and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to write and present proposals and develop new propositions or service offerings
  • Strong people leadership and project management skills, with experience mentoring junior staff and managing multiple engagements
  • ACA/CTA/Legal (or equivalent) qualification or significant Tax Management Consulting/Tax Technology experience with leadership ability
  • Willingness to engage in technology/change management projects within tax context (desirable)
  • Project management experience including budgeting, risk management and engagement economics (desirable)
