Overview

In this role, you will drive clear communication across internal teams and clients, chair design and technical coordination meetings, and manage change control to protect scope and programme. You will oversee multiple work packages, review design and technical documentation for alignment with budget and client expectations, and maintain project records to support efficient delivery. You’ll work closely with the Lead Design Delivery Manager to ensure delivery quality and buildability across design stages, including on-site presence. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to shape projects in the built environment within a supportive, inclusive team.

Responsibilities

  • Chair DTMs and drive actions across internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate and resolve technical queries with cost and programme context, manage change control
  • Strengthen project management processes; manage RFIs, technical transmittals, and change control
  • Review design information, quotations and technical docs for scope, budget, and client alignment
  • Maintain accurate project records and update delivery programmes; promote efficiency and buildability
  • Oversee multiple work packages and support Lead Design Delivery Manager with team delivery oversight

Key requirements

  • Degree in relevant engineering, design, or management discipline
  • Chartered (or approaching) membership of a relevant professional body
  • Experience with major UK clients in a design consultancy environment
  • Contract management experience and/or accreditations would be advantageous
  • Experience working on major projects with proven client-side delivery
  • Ability to develop and manage customer and stakeholder relationships
  • On-site presence required (3 days per week)
