In this Lead/Senior Lead ML role, you will guide a multidisciplinary team to advance neural-assisted game rendering and streaming. You’ll shape R&D initiatives within the Visual Computing Group to push runtime efficiency and visual quality. You will align team work with Sony Interactive Entertainment’s strategy while fostering collaboration and growth. This is an opportunity to influence cutting-edge graphics tech and live streaming in a global entertainment context.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performance ML/graphics team
• Coordinate build, prototyping, and integration of new visual computing tech
• Manage project timelines and ensure high-quality work
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation
• Align team output with company strategic objectives and technical debt management
• Build partnerships and maintain positive, trustworthy stakeholder relationships

Key requirements

• Strong leadership experience in ML or graphics research teams
• Proven track record delivering complex ML/graphics projects
• Experience in managing communications in a large organization
• Proficiency in C++, Python, OpenGL, DirectX
• Knowledge of computer vision and ML for image/video processing
• Understanding of game engine rendering pipelines (UE5 or similar) and ray/path tracing
• Experience in real-time graphics and neural rendering techniques
