Overview
In this role you will strengthen cyber security across the Council’s Digital Services to support delivery of modern digital services for residents. You will work within a cross-functional team to align controls with the changing threat landscape and develop an Information Assurance framework. You’ll translate threat intelligence into actionable guidance for defenders and decision-makers. This is an opportunity to influence security standards in a large public sector environment and contribute to a safer digital public service.

Responsibilities
- Drive digital to implement appropriate security controls addressing evolving cyber threats
- Provide professional advice on Information & Cyber Security and Assurance across Digital Services and the Council
- Create and operate an Information Assurance framework to meet changing business needs and standards
- Manage ICT staff and partners involved in Information Security and Assurance activities
- Attend conferences, seminars and training to maintain expertise in security standards, strategies and practices
- Understand the public sector threat landscape to ensure compliance and high security standards
Key requirements
- Vulnerability management and risk assessment processes
- Intelligence platforms, threat feeds and information-sharing mechanisms
- Convert intelligence into actionable recommendations for defenders and decision-makers
- Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and intelligence lifecycle methodologies
