In this rail systems engineering role you will support project teams to solve complex integration challenges on major infrastructure programmes. You will lead tasks on projects and mentor early-career professionals, applying systems thinking to reduce risk and add value. The position blends technical delivery with client engagement and commercial awareness within a consultancy environment. Responsibilities

• Support project teams on complex integration problems in rail infrastructure programmes
• Lead tasks within projects or manage small projects with accountability for outcomes
• Mentor Early Career Professionals and contribute to interval team development activities
• Apply pragmatic systems thinking to define and reduce risk on large systems engineering projects
• Develop awareness of commercial aspects and broader business context within consultancy
• Proactively seek knowledge to determine the right system engineering approaches and tools
• Maintain an up-to-date CPD record and build a professional network

Key requirements

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Chartered status or near-term path to Chartered status
• Post-degree experience delivering systems integration in a rail environment
• Experience with systems engineering tools like DOORS and MBSE techniques
• Ability to identify appropriate systems engineering approaches and tool applications on projects
• Experience leading others in delivering systems engineering tasks or projects (preferred)
• Client-facing experience and stakeholder engagement
• Understanding of lifecycle stages and systems engineering challenges across them
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
