Overview
In this Paraplanner role, you support financial advisers to craft compliant, effective planning solutions for clients within a respected wealth management firm. You work closely with advisers across a range of cases, preparing investment, pension, retirement and estate planning recommendations. You’ll generate cashflow models, reports and suitability documentation, and coordinate with clients and providers to move cases forward. This is an opportunity to develop specialist paraplanning expertise within a client‑focused team.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical paraplanning support across a broad range of financial planning cases
- Collaborate with advisers to identify suitable planning strategies
- Prepare recommendations covering investments, pensions, retirement, tax and estate planning
- Produce cashflow models, financial reports and suitability documentation
- Review investment portfolios and support asset allocation aligned with client risk profiles
- Prepare client review packs, investment performance reports and supporting documentation
- Obtain quotations, product information and research to compare suitable solutions
- Liaise with clients, providers and third parties to ensure cases progress efficiently
Key requirements
- Previous paraplanner/IFA administrator/financial planning support experience (min 1 year)
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (PFS) qualified, or FPC with substantial experience, or currently working towards
- Familiarity with financial research systems such as Analytics and Voyant
- Experience with pension transfers and knowledge of inheritance tax planning and investment products
- Strong understanding of current financial services legislation and regulatory requirements
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
