Overview
As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will drive the end-to-end hardware development from concept to production. You will operate within an R&D team delivering complex instruments for defence and security applications, leveraging rapid design cycles. You will implement designs, document results, run hardware tests, and enable prototype-to-production transitions. This role combines hands-on problem solving with collaboration to deliver impactful sensing and communications technologies.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop hardware from idea to manufacture across the product lifecycle
- Capture requirements, document, test, and deliver prototypes to production using rapid design methods
- Work on complex defence and security instruments including communications, satellite tech and RADAR systems
- Perform hardware-level debugging and support simulations/testbenches
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain security clearance as required
- Contribute to documentation and design iterations for manufacturability and reliability
Key requirements
- Experience with HDL languages (VHDL or SystemVerilog)
- Experience with toolchains Vivado or Quartus
- Experience in simulations and testbenches, hardware-level debugging
- Strong academic background and passion for electronics
- Security clearance or eligibility to obtain UK security clearance
- Ability to work across the full product lifecycle and in a defence environment
