Head of Reporting – Project Controls – Defence

Overview

In this role, you will lead reporting and governance for a major defence programme, ensuring accurate tracking of decisions, actions and milestones within a regulated environment. You will work within an integrated PMO to streamline reporting processes and support programme oversight. You will partner with stakeholders to drive timely completion and continuous improvement of reporting. This is a high-impact position in a nationally significant project requiring security clearance and a collaborative, safety-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Maintain governance, decision and action trackers with up-to-date information
• Attend governance meetings to capture outputs and ensure follow-up with owners
• Organise governance forums and align with programme drumbeat
• Support effective facilitation and administration of programme meetings
• Maintain programme calendar and reporting milestones
• Provide process and technical support to PMO functions related to reporting
• Liaise with integration director and programme stakeholders
• Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities in reporting processes
• Support the reporting lead and analyst as required

Key requirements

• Technical degree or equivalent experience
• Professional accreditation or progress towards accreditation (advantageous)
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, PRINCE2 or Lean Project Delivery (advantageous)
• Experience in nuclear/defence or high-security/heavily regulated sectors (desirable)
• Strong PMO/Project Controls experience
• Knowledge of reporting tools and software; ability to maintain trackers and outputs
• Understanding of data management and input validation
• Knowledge of change control and baseline management
• Excellent attention to detail and concise reporting
• Strong organisational and stakeholder coordination skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across a complex programme
