Senior Structural Engineer

Overview

As Structural Engineer at PD&MS Group, you will deliver bespoke, safe and cost-effective structural solutions for energy projects. You’ll work within a collaborative team, across Aberdeen or Glasgow, supporting both brownfield and new work. You’ll apply your design expertise to identify scope, plan activities, and propose pragmatic fixes that add value for operations and maintenance. This role offers a hybrid work setup and opportunities to impact energy projects across oil & gas, renewables and nuclear sectors.

Responsibilities

• Identify the scope of work required for projects
• Input to project plans and schedules
• Spot areas of concern during studies or projects
• Develop cost-effective, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions
• Ensure safety and maintenance considerations are addressed in design
• Liaise with colleagues to determine best overall solution
• Supervise the time of others

Key requirements

• Degree in a relevant subject
• Significant experience in detail design with understanding of other disciplines
• Experience and interest in Autodesk products
• Experience in brownfield pipe support design with bolted connections
• Proficiency in STAAD Pro
