Associate – Contentious Construction & Engineering

Overview

In this role, you join a prestigious Contentious Construction and Engineering practice in London to help grow a national and international client base. You will handle construction and engineering commercial litigation matters, collaborate with cross-border teams, and support business development to drive profitable growth. You’ll gain exposure to dispute resolution across formal and informal methods, contributing to high-stakes projects and client engagements. Responsibilities

• Contribute to growth of the contentious construction and engineering practice locally and nationally/internationally
• Advise on and manage construction and engineering commercial litigation matters (claims over time, money and defects)
• Collaborate with London-based and cross-border teams to coordinate strategy and delivery
• Develop client relationships and assist in business development for profitable growth
• Engage in dispute resolution processes, both formal and informal, and gain exposure to broader team activities

Key requirements

• 4-7+ years PQE in Construction & Engineering commercial litigation
• Solid academic track record
• Excellent relationship and client handling skills
• Confident and professional in day-to-day client interactions
• Team-oriented and collegiate with willingness to share knowledge
• Willingness to be involved in business development and strategy for growth
