Overview

In this role you drive the bid lifecycle for major infrastructure projects, aligning tender strategy with operations and delivery teams. You lead cross-functional collaboration, ensure compliance and quality across the tender process, and mentor peers to lift performance. You also oversee post-award delivery, mobilization, and continuous improvement of project controls and governance. This is a high-impact position within a global leader shaping transportation and water infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full bid lifecycle from win strategy to submission
  • Coordinate cross-team interfaces (Operations, delivery, JV partners) to optimize information flow
  • Develop winning tender strategies and integrated project controls
  • Mentor team members and share best practices to raise tender performance
  • Analyze prior bid outcomes to improve processes and success rates
  • Oversee post-award delivery, handover planning and mobilization
  • Promote Ferrovial values and ensure risk, compliance, quality across projects
  • Support design/engineering scoping and approvals during tender and handover phases
  • Lead UKIE bidding team and coordinate with Spain Bidding Team and JV partners
  • Identify complex risks/opportunities and resolve related issues
  • Ensure governance, documentation and data management across tenders and projects
  • Lead client interactions to protect Ferrovial interests across RIBA stages

Key requirements

  • Tertiary engineering qualifications
  • Extensive post-qualification experience in major projects/infrastructure
  • International project management experience in hydraulics, water treatment or infrastructure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong technical and digital proficiency (data/analysis and reporting)
  • Leadership and negotiation capabilities
  • Experience with contract administration and project controls
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 and Power BI
  • KNOWLEDGE of NEC contracts, CDM and SHE standards
