Overview

In this role you will lead the development and delivery of the UoS element of the Stirling and Clackmannanshire City Region Deal, coordinating information on activities, finances, outputs and benefits. You will analyse programme performance, support governance compliance, and liaise with government, local authorities and partners. You will manage the programme’s administration function and work with faculties and professional services to ensure consistent delivery. This is a role for someone who shapes cross‑institutional collaboration and drives measurable impact through the CRD portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Design, lead and manage the UoS element of the City Region Deal (CRD)
  • Monitor and report benefit realisation for CRD projects
  • Coordinate information, reports, and responses to meet government and governance requirements
  • Ensure robust governance for project delivery against outcomes
  • Provide regular delivery reports to the Programme Board
  • Prepare briefing papers and information on programme issues
  • Oversee project and programme delivery, including planning, financial and risk management
  • Oversee outreach with benefits stakeholders and engagement activities
  • Liaise with academic colleagues and internal/external stakeholders
  • Coordinate communications with CRM on CRD content and campaigns
  • Support working groups within projects and implement agreed actions
  • Undertake other duties as required by Head of City Region & Growth Deal Programme

Key requirements

  • Degree level or equivalent experience with increasing responsibility
  • Substantial practical experience in a directly relevant role
  • Experience of working within complex regulations/frameworks
  • Ability to design and deliver robust monitoring and evidence gathering for reporting
  • Ability to gather data from diverse sources and interpret patterns and issues
  • Proactive problem-solving and implementation planning
  • Clear advisory and guidance skills
  • Experience delivering large-scale work programmes
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and deadline-driven
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Judgment to assess wider impacts of decisions and outcomes
