Overview

In this role you will support the origination, analysis and execution of clean energy investments across Europe. You will build and review cash flow models for renewable projects, analyze SPV finances, and draft investment materials for committees. You will coordinate due diligence, manage deal execution, and help drive value creation and ESG tracking within a cross-functional team. This is an opportunity to shape the investment strategy in the energy transition with a globally active firm.

Responsibilities

  • Modeling and investment proposals: develop and review cash flow models, define project assumptions, analyze SPV statements, run sensitivities, draft investment proposals and committee materials, mentor juniors
  • Transaction support: assist origination with EU/UK renewable projects, drive deal execution, coordinate due diligence and external advisors, prepare marketing materials, build proprietary deal pipeline
  • Portfolio management and value creation: monitor boards, KPIs, budgets, implement growth and operational initiatives, optimize capital structure, track ESG metrics
  • Market monitoring: liaise with renewable/clean tech groups, research sectors and markets, track regulatory developments in renewables
  • Fund level support: assist with fund-raising materials, VDD packs for LPs, and fund-level reporting and valuation

Key requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
  • Significant financial modelling expertise
  • Equity investment experience with demonstrable track record
  • Experience in energy transition platforms; corporate or project finance transaction experience
  • International deal experience; right to work in the UK
  • Fluent English; additional European languages preferred
  • Strong network among project sponsors; knowledge of power/energy sector
  • Strong academic background with finance, engineering, accounting, legal, or STEM focus
