Overview

In this role, you will contribute to electrical design and technical delivery for water infrastructure projects. You’ll work within AECOM’s Water Infrastructure Team on pumping stations, treatment plants, and related systems, delivering robust electrical design packages. You’ll perform technical studies, cost estimation, and CAD drafting, while supporting bid proposals and client submissions. Mentoring junior engineers, you help drive high-quality design within a dynamic consulting environment. This position offers the chance to shape critical water projects across ANZ with a focus on safety, reliability, and constructibility.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems for pumping stations, water/wastewater plants, ventilation, fire protection, and HVAC
  • Contribute to electrical design packages
  • Design scope includes instrumentation, power distribution, control and communications
  • Perform technical studies including modelling and computational analysis
  • Estimate electrical project costs
  • Produce computer aided drafting
  • Prepare proposals, design schedules, budgets, and technical/commercial submissions for bid proposals
  • Mentor junior team members

Key requirements

  • Demonstrated experience on municipal water and/or wastewater projects
  • Experience in a dynamic consulting and design environment in industrial electrical, instrument and control systems engineering
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering & CPEng (or working towards)
