Senior Compliance Officer

Overview

As Senior Compliance Officer you will lead the development and delivery of a risk-based compliance framework for Cboe Europe, including a Monitoring Programme, second-line challenge, and governance reporting. You will advise the business on regulatory obligations across UK and EU regimes and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and filings. Based in London, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and regulators to manage regulatory changes and drive compliant initiatives. This role offers impact through shaping the compliance program and ensuring timely regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Implement the risk-based Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP)
• Deliver the periodic Compliance Risk Assessment as the CMP driver
• Stay updated on UK and EU regulatory requirements
• Assess regulatory changes’ impact on the business
• Provide compliance guidance on new and existing regulations
• Contribute to new initiatives with regulatory impact input
• Develop and maintain internal compliance policies, procedures and controls
• Maintain regulator relationships and provide required information
• Ensure timely regulatory filings

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations
• Strong multi-tasking and customer service skills
• Previous compliance department experience at an exchange or regulated firm
• Familiarity with trading techniques and technology
• Knowledge of current UK and EU regulatory regime
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Team-oriented and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Desire to embrace new technologies to enhance productivity and drive efficiencies
