Overview
In this role you will introduce new products to production, support existing lines, and ensure production services are reliably available. You will work closely with Engineering on DFM and manufacturability issues, develop processes and build guides, and layout manufacturing cells. You’ll drive improvements across current production and assist with factory moves and layout changes. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role in a mature aviation technology environment that values quality and lean methods.

Responsibilities
- Support introduction of new products to production
- Collaborate on DFM, testability, and manufacturability of new products
- Develop manufacturing processes and build guides
- Design and produce assembly jigs and fixtures
- Layout manufacturing cells with tooling and services
- Suggest and implement improvements to current production processes
- Investigate and resolve manufacturing and quality problems
- Identify new production methods and tooling
- Update build guides with Engineering changes
- Assist in factory layout moves
- Apply lean tools (5S, continuous improvement) to ensure production support
- Ensure services, equipment, and safety are maintained for production
Key requirements
- 5+ years in a similar role in medium/high-volume electro-mechanical manufacturing
- Engineering discipline (Manufacturing/Mechanical/Electronics) at degree level
- Awareness of modern manufacturing philosophies and techniques
- Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, Solidworks
- Hands-on experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of material processing
- Basic pneumatics/hydraulics knowledge
