Overview
In this role you will lead and unify EHS strategy for Specs Operations across multiple sites, aligning with ISO standards and Snap’s safety objectives. You will partner with site leadership to embed a world-class safety culture and drive risk reduction in manufacturing, R&D, and high-hazard environments. You’ll own governance, compliance, and capital-project safety integration, delivering measurable improvements. Responsibilities
- Lead the development and governance of global EHS standards and programs across Specs Operations.
- Set annual EHS objectives and KPIs for Abingdon, Chandler, and other locations; report to senior leadership.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and succession planning for EHS professionals; drive cross-functional engagement.
- Integrate EHS considerations into operational planning, design, procurement, and commissioning.
- Own hazardous materials, chemical safety, machine safety, laser safety, industrial hygiene, and hazardous gas safety programs; oversee emergency response.
- Lead EHS governance for compliance, audits, permits, and regulatory interactions; manage risk assessments for manufacturing and R&D operations.
- Oversee EHS aspects of capital projects, facility expansions, and new technologies; ensure proactive risk management during scale-up.
- Develop training strategies and lead safety committees; promote lessons learned and standardized practices across locations.
- Manage EHS budgets, analytics, and continuous improvement roadmaps; justify investments and staffing needs.
- Lead investigations of serious incidents and near-misses; coordinate emergency preparedness and business continuity across sites.
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of progressive EHS experience
- 3+ years of people leadership, multi-site EHS program management
- Expert knowledge of EHS management systems, regulatory compliance, risk management, and program development in manufacturing, R&D, cleanroom, semiconductor, advanced technology, or hardware environments
- Experience leading EHS programs across multiple locations, business units, or regulatory jurisdictions
