Overview

In this role you lead the Private Client department within a respected regional law firm, overseeing a high-quality caseload while guiding and expanding the team. You shape the department’s direction and contribute to the firm’s growth with autonomy and strategic vision. You’ll work with established clients and develop new business opportunities, balancing hands-on practice with leadership. This is a pathway to Partnership for an ambitious senior lawyer who wants to make a lasting impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Private Client team
• Maintain and grow a high-quality caseload
• Handle Wills and estate planning, Trusts, Probate and estate administration
• Oversee Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters
• Build and maintain client relationships and provide high-quality service
• Identify opportunities for business development and department growth
• Mentor and develop junior lawyers, shaping the future of the team

Key requirements

• 10+ years’ PQE
• strong technical expertise across private client work
• supervisory or management experience
• excellent communication and leadership skills
• commercial awareness and ambition to grow the team
• STEP qualification would be highly advantageous
• established network of professional contacts and referrers (advantageous)
