Overview

In this role you deliver cost management across healthcare/education projects, supporting pre-contract to handover stages. You will work within the London Real Estate Health team to drive value on high-profile hospital projects and refurbishments, collaborating with clients and multi-disciplinary teams. You’ll navigate public and private sector challenges, ensuring robust cost control and reporting while expanding your expertise across sectors. Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end Cost Management services on complex projects or contribute as a core team member
  • Support client objectives through cost management from feasibility to handover
  • Produce and present monthly post-contract cost reports
  • Manage procurement activities including pre-qualification, tenders, analysis, selection and contracts
  • Administer JCT and NEC contracts and negotiate final accounts
  • Guide clients through project stages from feasibility to completion
  • Manage client and stakeholder relationships within a Cost Management environment
  • Apply value engineering and lifecycle costing techniques
  • Utilise CostX or similar measurement software

Key requirements

  • Knowledge of healthcare and/or education sectors
  • Experience on two-stage tendered projects
  • Experience administering JCT and NEC contracts
  • Experience managing procurement activities
  • Ability to negotiate and agree final accounts
  • Knowledge of contract administration, value engineering and lifecycle costing
  • Experience producing monthly cost reports
  • Experience using CostX or similar software
  • MRICS preferred and/or relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of procurement routes and value management
