Overview
You will join a well-established infrastructure contractor on a National Grid Civils Framework to own and shape commercial activity across civils works for substations in the Bristol region. You’ll work within a supportive, experienced team to manage tender to final account, procurement, and cost reporting, while building strong client and delivery-team relationships. This long-term framework offers ownership, ongoing development, and a clear path to progress within civil engineering and infrastructure. You’ll influence commercial performance and drive opportunities to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Manage commercial aspects of civils packages from tender through to final account
- Subcontract procurement and management
- Valuations, applications for payment and cost reporting
- Managing variations, change and commercial risk
- Supporting forecasting and financial reporting
- Working closely with project and delivery teams
- Develop strong relationships with the client and supply chain
- Help identify opportunities to improve commercial performance across the framework
Key requirements
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or civil engineering
- Understanding of commercial and contractual processes
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Drive to take responsibility and develop
- Ability to build good working relationships with clients, subcontractors and colleagues
