Overview

In this role you will lead and own back-end software components within Citi’s Rates Risk Technology team in London. You’ll guide a team of experienced developers, act as SME for key components, and drive secure, high-quality software across the risk domain. You’ll collaborate with front-office stakeholders and planning to shape delivery timelines, reduce tech debt, and upgrade technology. This position offers exposure to multiple asset classes in a Tier 1 environment with meaningful impact on risk tooling for Rates and FX businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain a set of software components within the risk technology suite
  • Lead a team of experienced developers and provide technical direction
  • Become SME for owned components and services
  • Design and maintain back-end systems with a focus on reliability and security
  • Collaborate with other team leads and component owners to deliver new features
  • Advise planning on delivery timelines for business requests
  • Reduce technical debt by adopting current, secure components and libraries

Key requirements

  • Extensive Applications Development experience in Rates domain and/or risk management
  • Proven SDLC and trade lifecycle knowledge
  • Proficiency in C# .NET (with some F#) and strong IT fundamentals
  • Experience building relationships with front-office stakeholders
  • People management experience and leadership skills
  • Understanding of industry practices and standards
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Several years in a financial IT environment
  • Experience with messaging/event streaming (RabbitMQ, TIBCO EMS, Kafka)
