Overview

In this role you lead the EMEA Fixed Income Financing control scope, partnering with the desk and cross-functional partners to inform resource strategy and drive transformation. You oversee daily P&L and risk with a focus on robust controls, and contribute to technology uplift projects across P&L, risk, and liquidity. You will coordinate with Finance & Control units and other Finance teams to deliver firmwide improvements. This position blends hands-on financial control with strategic thinking in a fast-paced, global finance function.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily P&L and Risk reporting for the desk
  • Interpret trading activity and market drivers to explain P&L variances on daily, monthly, and quarterly bases
  • Drive technology enhancements for P&L, Risk, and Liquidity systems
  • Maintain robust controls in partnership with Finance Control and Asset Class Control teams
  • Lead ad-hoc analyses, scenario runs, stress tests, and what-if analyses for strategic decision-making

Key requirements

  • Experience in product control, financial control, accounting, or related finance field within markets or banking
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, advanced formulas; VBA/Macros a plus) and familiarity with finance systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and a control-focused mindset
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex drivers to finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience in process improvement and/or automation of forecasting or reporting workflows
