Overview

In this role you will support the quality assurance framework for a major nuclear project. You will work across internal teams and client-facing operations to deliver robust quality management throughout the lifecycle. You will monitor compliance, inspections, audits, and continuous improvement activities to ensure safe, high-quality delivery. You will collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and project teams to report metrics and drive cross-functional quality improvements. Responsibilities

  • Drive Quality Plans: support the implementation of Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs) and Quality Execution Plans
  • Oversight & Compliance: ensure suppliers and contractors adhere to quality requirements, CQAPs, ITPs, LTQRs, and contractual standards
  • Inspections & Surveillance: coordinate and monitor inspections, witness points, and testing programmes
  • Audit & Corrective Actions: support supplier audits, track findings, and implement corrective actions
  • Documentation Review: review manufacturing, construction, and quality records including handover docs
  • Continuous Improvement: monitor non-conformances and leverage lessons learned to improve quality
  • Stakeholder Reporting: maintain relationships and report quality metrics across project teams, contractors, inspection bodies, and suppliers

Key requirements

  • Proven QA/QC experience in nuclear or other safety-critical industries
  • Strong understanding of quality management across lifecycle from engineering to commissioning
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 19443, IAEA GSR-2, and modern quality systems
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and managing supply-chain quality
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, reporting, and stakeholder management
  • HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent qualification in engineering, science, or related discipline
