Overview

Join Apollo’s London-based Corporate Communications team to lead strategic communications for Europe. You will partner with executives to shape plans across investment strategies, manage media relations, and steer crisis and reputation efforts in financial markets. You’ll craft messaging and content, plan executive speaking engagements, and drive proactive coverage across EMEA. This high-impact role offers visibility across the franchise and a chance to influence how Apollo is perceived by investors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans with Apollo executives across business lines to support the franchise and specific investment strategies
  • Lead proactive media engagement and story generation across key EMEA markets, including investment and product communications, issues management, and enterprise/office communications
  • Create informative, persuasive communications and corporate marketing content with measurable results
  • Plan and execute speaking engagements for senior executives
  • Generate messaging and materials including press releases, briefing notes, talking points, and internal/external content
  • Handle ad-hoc projects as needed

Key requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with hands-on media relations in financial, transactional and corporate communications
  • Experience in issues management, public affairs, reputational risk and crisis communications
  • Proven ability to build trust with senior executives and collaborate with others
  • Entrepreneurial and self-motivated in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Track record of establishing and managing relationships with media, stakeholders, executives, journalists and global colleagues
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills; experience across varied platforms, content types and technologies
  • Acute attention to detail, ability to multi-task, willingness to learn and work well in a team
