Overview
As an Account Manager at OpenTable, you will manage a portfolio of restaurant partners across the full customer lifecycle, from onboarding to ongoing optimization. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, resolve cross-functional issues, and identify upsell opportunities to drive value for partners. The role blends hospitality with technology, requiring cross-team collaboration and data‑driven decision making. You will shape partner success and contribute to retention and growth in a global, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
- Nurture and deepen relationships with restaurant partners as a trusted advisor
- Advocate for customers and resolve cross-functional issues
- Serve as the primary point of contact for restaurant concerns
- Assist with configuration to optimize reservation flow
- Identify upsell opportunities for marketing assets
- Achieve quarterly sales objectives
- Prepare detailed installation reports for Technical Support
- Place OpenTable reservation links on partner sites
- Track meetings and coordinate monthly meetings & QBRs
- Collaborate with Marketing to craft restaurant-specific programs
- Capture restaurant feedback to inform product upgrades
- Educate operators on industry trends
- Lead restaurant retention and aid re-signing of expiring contracts
Key requirements
- 5+ years in account management or equivalent customer-facing role
- Native German speaker with English proficiency
- Passion for hospitality and technology; restaurant management or F&B sales experience preferred
- Strong listening and objection-handling skills with a consultative approach
- Effective communicator who can present new perspectives to clients
- Excellent negotiating, data-driven advisory, and cross-department collaboration skills
- Experience with data and analytics to support decision-making
- Strong time management, planning, and prioritization abilities
- Strong writing and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Salesforce CRM
- Valid driving license for travel
