Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Virtualisation

Overview

In this role you will maintain and enhance a large-scale VMware-based virtualised infrastructure, balancing BAU operations with project delivery. You’ll join a skilled infrastructure team, contributing to stability, performance, and resilience while supporting cloud migration and modernisation efforts. The position offers hybrid work with on-site presence in Milton Keynes and scope for future technology initiatives, shaping enterprise platforms for critical services.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain VMware-based virtualisation platforms
• Deliver infrastructure improvements and project-based work
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues
• Implement and configure new virtualisation services
• Collaborate with wider infrastructure and operations teams
• Contribute to service optimisation, resilience, and performance improvements
• Provide technical knowledge transfer and documentation as needed

• Extensive infrastructure engineering and virtualisation experience
