Overview
As Electrical Project Manager in CHG Electrical, you drive MEICA delivery for water sector projects, shaping processes and technical standards in a newly formed delivery team. You will lead cross-disciplinary integration of electrical, ICA and mechanical systems, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality outcomes. This role offers autonomy to influence ways of working and grow into senior leadership as the team expands. You’ll work across planning, installation, testing and handover, delivering impactful infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day MEICA project delivery across multiple water and wastewater sites
- Coordinate project resources, site teams, subcontractors and materials to maintain safe and efficient progress
- Monitor programmes, budgets, variations, risks and changing resource requirements
- Review electrical and mechanical drawings, work packs and RAMS for buildability and alignment with scope
- Collaborate with Design Manager to resolve technical queries and ensure compliant delivery
- Manage isolations, energisation and reinstatement to meet WIMES and client standards
- Attend Client Progress Team meetings and nurture client and stakeholder relationships
- Provide clear progress updates and flag risks, programme changes, and delivery challenges
- Maintain permits, inspection records, redlines, site documentation and as-built information
- Support inspection, testing, commissioning and handover
- Champion safety, quality and continuous improvement across sites
- Lead by example with audits, toolbox talks and improvement initiatives
Key requirements
- Strong electrical engineering background with MEICA/EICA experience preferred
- Understanding of mechanical interfaces and plant integration with electrical and ICA systems
- Experience with LV systems, MCCs, ICA equipment, pumps, valves and process assets
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and ensure delivery to spec
- Knowledge of CDM regulations, permits, temporary works and site procedures
- Credible relationship-building with clients, operations teams and technical stakeholders
- Proactive safety, quality, and continuous improvement mindset
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and relationship-building
