Overview

As a Project Manager in our Infrastructure group, you will lead end-to-end project delivery for water-related commissions across the Midlands and Central South. You will work within a cross-functional team to meet time, cost, and quality targets while aligning with client objectives. You’ll balance hands-on management with stakeholder engagement to drive successful outcomes on complex civil engineering projects. This role offers the chance to shape delivery on high-profile water programmes in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. A clear hook is your ability to translate client needs into structured project plans that deliver measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management commissions and ensure delivery to time, cost, and quality
  • Provide support on major commissions and own aspects of service delivery
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and cross-functional team collaboration
  • Effectively manage project team and, where appropriate, general line management
  • Identify and act on business development opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Monitor financial performance of projects and ensure accurate reporting of status and data
  • Ensure compliance with project conditions of appointment and internal controls

Key requirements

  • NEC (3/4) accreditation preferred
  • Chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS or equivalent (preferred)
  • Degree-qualified in a construction-related subject (ideally)
  • Civil engineering background with water sector experience
  • Experience delivering projects in the 1m to 10m range (typical) and handling complex works
  • Strong client relationship and cross-functional leadership skills
