Quality Manager

Overview

In this role you will own and continuously improve the Integrated Management System to drive compliance and operational excellence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure ISO and regulatory standards are met and to lead continuous improvement across the business. You will coordinate internal and external audits, manage non-conformances, and provide training on quality, compliance and health & safety. This is an opportunity to shape the company’s quality culture and regulatory readiness in manufacturing and engineering. You will partner with leadership to deliver measurable improvements and maintain certification readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead and improve the Integrated Management System (IMS)
• Drive compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, Module D and SafeContractor
• Oversee metrology traceability and NAWI/MID compliance
• Lead internal audits and liaise with UKAS, BSI and external bodies
• Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and CI initiatives
• Oversee Health & Safety activities including COSHH, DSE and Fire Risk Assessments
• Manage RIDDOR reporting and investigations
• Deliver training on quality, compliance and health & safety
• Produce quality and compliance reports and support improvement projects

Key requirements

• Integrated Management System management experience in engineering/manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 17025, Module D and QMS
• Internal Auditor qualification (essential)
• NEBOSH or similar Health & Safety qualification advantageous
• Experience with external audits and certification bodies (UKAS, BSI)
• Knowledge of metrology traceability, NAWI and regulatory compliance
• Understanding of health & safety legislation (COSHH, DSE, Fire Risk, RIDDOR)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder training abilities
