Senior / Principal Civil Engineer – Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery and approval of civil infrastructure projects
• Produce and review high-quality highway and drainage designs
• Deliver projects from concept and planning through to detailed design and construction support
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated infrastructure solutions
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, regulators, local authorities and key stakeholders
• Liaise with utility, drainage and highway authorities throughout project delivery
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to high technical standards
• Help shape innovative, sustainable infrastructure delivering positive community outcomes

Key requirements

• BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects in a consultancy
• Experience designing highway and drainage infrastructure across all stages
• Strong understanding of infrastructure design principles and UK standards
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary projects and client collaboration
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers and technicians
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Collaborative approach and passion for high-quality engineering solutions
• Experience with Civil 3D, InfoDrainage and utility coordination software would be advantageous
• Passion for innovative, sustainable infrastructure and navigating approvals with regulators and local authorities
