As Lead Electrical Engineer on site in Westminster, you will oversee planned and reactive electrical maintenance within a building Services environment. You will act as Electrical Authorised Person, diagnose faults, source parts, and manage inspections and tests, while supporting shutdowns and contractor work. The role sits in a safety‑focused, professional team delivering compliant, reliable electrical infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance across single‑ and three‑phase electrical systems
- Act as the Electrical Authorised Person on site after training and assessment
- Diagnose faults, source parts and complete electrical repairs, inspections and testing
- Support electrical shutdown planning, project works, and coordination with specialist subcontractors and wider engineering team
Key requirements
- 18th Edition qualification and experience in inspection and testing
- City and Guilds or NVQ equivalent level, including Level 3 electrical installation engineering
- AM1 and AM2 achievement in installing and commissioning electrotechnical systems
- Ability to perform Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing per BS7671
- Ability to work independently and apply practical problem solving
- Good communication with clients, colleagues and subcontractors
- CTC clearance currently held or ability to obtain as part of recruitment
- Experience with electrical maintenance in a building services environment
