Product Manager – Equities Indices

Overview

In this role you will lead the equity index product, focusing on construction, methodology management, and commercialization. You will collaborate with Sales, Research, Production, Marketing, and client teams to shape product vision and deliver go-to-market initiatives. You will work with large data sets to extract insights that drive innovation and direction for the index platform. This is a high-visibility role within Bloomberg’s Enterprise Data division, offering the chance to influence industry standards and client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to analysis, evaluation, product vision, and messaging for the index offering
• Serve as an ambassador for the product vision and keep the equity index platform robust
• Create and drive strategy/vision for the future of the equity index business
• Assess client needs and translate them into index-based solutions
• Communicate product vision and build consensus among senior leadership
• Execute on product vision, builds, and go-to-market launches
• Collaborate across units including Production, Operations, Engineering, Governance
• Partner with Sales to act as SME and drive marketing and messaging

Key requirements

• 7+ years of Product Management or Product Development experience
• Hands-on equity index product experience
• Index methodology knowledge and ongoing updates
• Understanding of governance determinations on index events
• Knowledge of financial markets, investment management, and sales process
• Proven analytical capabilities with large data sets
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint (pivot tables, v-lookups)
