Commercial Property Litigation Solicitor

Overview

In-house role with a large family-owned property group in Birmingham. You will manage a broad portfolio across commercial property transactions, landlord-tenant matters, and dispute resolution to protect and maximise the company’s assets. You’ll work closely with senior management to support asset strategy and compliance across freehold and leasehold matters. This is a hands-on role with scope to shape property litigation and transactional activity within a diversified portfolio. A strong drafting, negotiation, and business-focused approach will be essential to drive outcomes.

Pay / Benefits

• salary 40,000-70,000 per annum

Responsibilities

• Commercial Property Transactions: handle acquisitions, disposals, leases, licences, and related documentation; support asset management
• Landlord & Tenant Matters: advise on rent reviews, dilapidations, forfeiture, and general L&T issues
• Debt Recovery & Enforcement: manage debt matters and enforcement options for lease breaches
• Property & Contractual Disputes: resolve rights of way, boundaries, and related disputes; manage contract disputes tied to property
• General Litigation: handle a range of litigation matters affecting the portfolio

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
• Minimum 5 years’ PQE
• Experience in Commercial Property and/or Property Litigation
• Strong understanding of landlord and tenant law

• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Practical, business-focused approach
• Confidence working directly with senior management
• Ability to manage a varied workload independently
