Overview

As a Civil Project Engineer in Galliford Try’s Environment team, you will support delivery on the AMP 8 Severn Trent water framework. You’ll work closely with multi-disciplinary designers and project engineers to promote integrated delivery and manage construction-phase activities. You’ll lead construction-stage documentation, permits, and stakeholder communications, while coordinating internal resources and subcontractors. This role combines site-based delivery with occasional hybrid work, offering opportunities to mentor peers and influence program and cost management within a values-driven, ethical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multi-discipline design and project teams to ensure integrated delivery
  • Lead preparation of operational construction documentation and secure external permits to begin construction
  • Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors through pre-construction, design, and construction phases
  • Serve as liaison between client, stakeholders, and supply chain to ensure clear communication and scheduling
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and maintain a flexible, solutions-focused approach
  • Uphold high ethical standards and integrity in all activities
  • Participate in design, progress and site meetings; mentor and coach team members
  • Contribute to programme reviews, cost management, and compliance with delivery processes using CDE

Key requirements
