Senior Estimator opportunity required in East London

Overview

In this Senior Estimator role, you will lead tender activity for high-end residential, heritage, and hospitality refurbishments, working closely with company directors. You’ll drive accurate cost plans, risk analysis, and value-for-money procurement to support secure wins. The position sits in the pre-construction team, aligning bids with client expectations and the company’s growth objectives. You will shape projects from initial enquiry through to submission, delivering insightful breakdowns and clear communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tender and bid activity, including pricing, preparation and submission, ensuring accuracy and quality
• Handle initial enquiries and take-offs to support cost planning
• Provide detailed tender breakdowns to directors and clients
• Analyze risk and opportunity to optimize bids
• Obtain best value subcontractor and supplier prices to maximise value for money
• Procurement of subcontract works including documentation and compliance
• Attend regular tender review meetings
• Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, external consultants and senior management

Key requirements

• Minimum 7 years experience in Estimating within a main contracting environment
• Team player
• Previous experience as an Estimator
